The business area of conveyor belts with its locations for distribution and production in Germany and Hungary – as well as joint ventures in India and China – was transferred to Phoenix Conveyor Belt Systems GmbH during September 2000, within the scope of Phoenix AG's restructuring measures.

The concentration of conveyor belt activities should be understood as a consistent follow-up to our objective of achieving market leadership. The brand name of Phoenix will be strengthened by the foundation of Phoenix Conveyor Belt Systems GmbH and creating a unified presence in the marketplace.

The cost structure will be optimized by the effects of synergy. Operational sequences will be made more transparent and the requirements of our customers for internationalization and globalization will be taken into account.

PHOENOCARE® SC Film

The PHOENOCARE® monitoring system is based on measuring the changes in the splice length. Magnets are integrated in the belt's edges on both sides, in front of every connection and behind it.

Monitoring sensors record the location of these magnets. The measurement records the belt's speed and thus the spacing between the magnets.
